  • Limited Edition and Certificate

Every print series is available in limited editions in each size. Each print comes with a unique certificate of authenticity from the artist by Artdoc Photography Gallery. It provides the name of the image, the edition number, production date, certificate number and a hologram authentication patch that is matched by a unique number on both the print and certificate.

  • Framed Prints

Our framed prints are available in the colours white, black & oak. The classical frames are made of wood and there will be added a white border to your print. The artwork will fit in the frame, so it is ready to be hung on your wall. The photographic art prints are printed on one of the most beautiful and high quality papers on the market, Hahnemühle Bamboo.

Gert Motmans

Motmans’ work balances between figurative and abstract, complexity and simplicity. The artist puts his identity, personality, personal experiences and dreams in his collages. The fragile works feed on romanticism as well as minimalism. Despite its personal nature, his intimate work appeals to universal values and feelings. Landscapes and male figures are recurring themes. During childhood, Gert struggled with his sexuality and found protection and security in nature, where seclusion and daydreaming allowed him to escape reality. Motmans’ pictures express a desire for another world—a longing for familiarity and nostalgia. His images embrace a threatening, futuristic vision.

Biography

Gert Motmans (Hasselt, Belgium) graduated from the fashion department at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where he still lives and works as a visual artist and fashion designer. In 2018 he created FRNCS Studio. “FRNCS” is an acronym for “fragments and collected instants”, a project combining photography and collage. His work has since been exhibited in galleries such as Deuss Gallery in Antwerp and Galerie Esther Woerdehoff in Paris and at art fairs such as Paris Photo, Unseen Amsterdam and Art Paris.
