About the Artist

Lynne Buchanan

Lynne Buchanan’s images express her response to the fragility and perseverance of nature and include images of what was, things still hanging on, the effects of climate change, and the cycle of life. She immerses herself in nature and connects with what she sees on a prelinguistic level. Her lyrical image-making bypasses her analytical mind, allowing her to experience and respond to both the essence of life and the numinous. Being in wild places reveals poetic truths that are both fleeting and timeless. Lynne’s images are reminders of what we are losing and a pathway to hope.
