About the Artist

Andrea Christl

Andrea Christl’s photography takes us to mysterious and enigmatic landscapes. The monochrome photographs reflect themes of silence and transformation. They show nature as the mirror of our inner being, where the invisible permeates the visible. Inspired by Japanese ink paintings and calligraphy, she reduces her motifs to the essential. The deep tranquillity of nature becomes tangible in her images, making us travel internally. We discover a magical universe in a wonderful flower. Combining two photographs in a diptych allows us to travel beyond our limited view of reality. In this vastness, we may feel a little glimpse of our soul.
